The British based Gtech have been in the vacuum industry for almost 15 years upon the writing of this review, and here they’ve come up with something which challenges the very best in the cordless vacuum world.
The Gtech AirRam Cordless Vacuum is a lightweight and manoeuvrable solution to your vacuuming needs. It is designed to match the power of mains vacuums, while giving you the freedom of life without cords.
Charge and run time: 40 minute run time on 4 hour charge
Capacity: 0.8 litres
Dimensions: 25.8 x 29.2 x 112.5cm
Power: 100 watts
Upon opening the box, you will be greeted with a simple assembly of just a handful of parts. You will notice that there are no attachments with the AirRam, but the manoeuvrability of this vacuum almost makes up for it – those hard spots are made easy to reach.
On a full charge the AirRam will run for around 40 minutes which is plenty of time for multiple vacuums, and the performance during those 40 minutes is very impressive. Pet hair is marketed as a speciality for the AirRam, and it’s hard to argue after seeing the results. It performs equally well on hard floors or carpets, and its weight makes it easy to take upstairs. Don’t be fooled though – this vacuum may be light to carry but is a little heavy on the noise front.
The vacuum is easy to empty, but cleaning the filters can be a little trickier. Taking them out is simple enough but they are fiddly to put back in. Whilst this only needs to be done once a month or so, it can still be classed as a minor annoyance.
Overall, this is a fantastic cordless vacuum. The long running time combined with the lightweight design make it perfect for a home of any size, and the performance matches that of a mains vacuum. The lack of attachments and fiddly filters hold this back from being a flawless product, but this is still one of the best cordless vacuum cleaners on the market.
